I very much liked the atmosphere and the characterization as Ralph Roberts turned out to be a more interesting and compelling hero than I could imagine (given his age...). I didnīt think that the overall premise was very well worked out, and at times the book was quite stupid and unconvincing. It also isnīt able to provide any real chills (like "it" oder "Shining"). But nevertheless, there are some interesting suprises and a moody atmosphere, so youīre likely to enjoy it, though.
