'White Orleander', is a beautifully written novel by Janet Fitch. She takes you on a journey many of us never have experienced, into a life that despite all, may not be so different then our own, as we struggle to find our place in this world! I loved this book...it's a MUST READ for anyone looking for a good summer reading book!

comments: I love this author, I picked the book up at GoodWill, and am very pleased, I got it for a dollar, and it's the best book I've ever read, I couldn't put it down. The way she writes is so poetic, and it makes the character very vivid in your mind. I can't wait for the next one, if anyone knows of any books writte by her let me know

comments: I'm only 13 but i'm old enough to recognize fine literature and this is a book that demonstrates that! It's a touching story that will have you crying inside at times with it's realistic theme. Janet Fitch writes with extraordinary detail and breathtaking beauty. I'm looking forward to her writing new novels!

comments: Can someone please tell me the reason that she wrote the book? I found no point in reading it. Yes it did open my eyes to what is going on to these girls, but she had happiness staring her in the face at the adoption day, and she turned it down. I kept waiting for it to get better... it didn't

comments: Amazing. My exboyfriend bought this for me last year on our anniversary and I have re read it many times. I learned about it from Oprah and I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautifully written book. I am only 17 and think very highly of it, you just have to give it a try. It just makes you look at things differently. If anyone has read any of her other books, please email me and let me know if they great as well.

Have you read White Oleander?
